Lighting of the Advent Candle

NOVEMBER 30, DECEMBER 7, 14, & 21 at 10 am

Each week during worship, a family group lights an Advent candle in anticipation of Christ’s birth. Join us as we prepare for the birth of Jesus. You can also livestream worship.

Dedicate Poinsettias

Order by December 7

Dedicate poinsettias in honor or memory of persons in your life. Order online or through a paper form in the Narthex. Thank you for filling the Sanctuary with Christmas wonder! Bring your poinsettia home following the December 28 worship service.


Advent Activities

BRING HOPE through the GIVING Tree, Nov. 16 - Dec. 10

Choose an ornament from the Christmas tree in the Narthex, buy gifts for children in need, and bring hope to families served by Presbyterian Children’s Homes & Services.

PRACTICE FAITH DAILY THROUGH AN ADVENT CALENDAR

From December 1–25, our Advent Calendar invites families of all kinds to pause each day for a simple practice that sparks connection, gratitude, and joy. Stop by the Narthex to pick one up and start a tradition that brings the wonder of Advent and Christmas to life.

Weekly Online Advent Exploration

We sing Come, Thou Long-Expected Jesus each December, yet God’s presence often meets us in ways we never imagine or expect. This Advent, we’ll open our hearts to the quiet surprises and sudden joys of a God who arrives Out of the Blue. Enjoy a four-week Advent devotional class with Pastor Elizabeth online on Mondays, December 1, 8, 15 & 22 from 6:30-7:30 pm. Register.

ADVENT CRAFTS FOR ALL AGES, SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 30 AT 11:15 am

All are invited to enjoy Advent crafting in the Fellowship Hall after worship, including service projects for our 5th Sunday Service Hour.

“Peace” of Pie Potluck, Sunday, December 7 AT 11:15 AM

Bring a pie, sweet or savory, or any dish that represents comfort to you. Think dessert pies, pizza pies, pot pies, casseroles, or anything that warms the heart.

Gingerbread VILLAGE, Saturday, December 13, FROM 2:30-5:30 pm

Purchase tickets to Gingerbread Village to enjoy photos with Santa, decorating gingerbread houses/cookies, crafts, snacks, and cocoa while supporting the First Presbyterian Day School!

CAROLS & COOKIES, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 14 AT 11:15 aM

All are invited to bring cookies to share and sing Christmas carols in the Narthex.

No-Rehearsal Christmas PAgeant & Birthday Cake for Jesus, SUNDAY, DECEMBER 21 AT 10 aM

During 10 am worship, join a casual, participatory, no-rehearsal Christmas pageant and be part of the Christmas story! After worship, enjoy fellowship and a birthday cake for Jesus in the Narthex.


Christmas Eve Services - 4 pm, 6 pm & 8 pm

CANDLELIGHT LESSONS AND CAROLS

Join us for a traditional service of candlelight, lessons, and carols. Listen to the familiar words of scripture that foretell and proclaim the birth of Jesus. Sing the carols that help us tell that story with special music from the sanctuary choir and brass. Invite a friend! All ages are welcome in worship. Nursery care is available during the 4 pm and 6 pm services. You can also livestream the services.


First Sunday After Christmas

CREATIVE WORSHIP EXPERIENCE - SUNDAY, DECEMBER 28 AT 10 AM

On the first Sunday after Christmas at 10 am, join a creative worship experience interweaving joy and playfulness with scripture readings. You can also livestream the service.
