Come Lend a Hand and Beautify Our Campus

Join us for Spring-a-Ling: An Easter Campus Prep Day, a family-friendly event at First Presbyterian Church of Austin. Spring-a-Ling is a chance to give back, enjoy fellowship with others, and take pride in our shared space. Whether you enjoy gardening, maintenance tasks, cleaning, organizing, or just lending a helping hand, there’s a place for you. All ages and abilities are welcome—there are tasks for everyone, from light indoor activities to outdoor projects. Together, we’ll refresh and revitalize our beautiful campus with some spring cleaning.

Planned Projects – Something for Everyone

Come ready to dig in and make a difference with tasks for every skill level:

  • Tree & Shrub Cutting: Help trim overgrown trees and shrubs. Bring chainsaws, clippers, and gloves. Thanks to Certified Arbor Care for donating a chipper!

  • Cleanup & Clearing: Tidy the areas around the dumpster enclosure and behind Fellowship Hall.

  • Removing Silt: Clear out silt from the children/youth classroom areas and Day School grounds.

  • Fence Line Pruning: Remove debris, prune along the fence with the neighboring condos, and take down a dead tree.

  • Closet Cleanout: Clear out and organize closets, removing unneeded items.

  • Power Washing: Refresh the memorial garden and sidewalks with a thorough power wash.

  • Playground Maintenance: Remove an old fence post - we need a Sawzall for this…do you have one?

  • Indoor Activities: For those seeking less strenuous tasks, we’ll have indoor projects, too—perfect for all ages and abilities.

Breakfast & Coffee Provided

We’ll fuel your hard work with a delicious breakfast and plenty of coffee. Come hungry, enjoy fellowship, and leave inspired!

What to Bring

If you have any of the following tools, please bring them along:

  • Gloves

  • Rakes & Shovels

  • Chainsaws & Clippers

  • Eye & Hearing Protection

  • Power Washers

Sign Up to Help

The Facilities Team will be in the Narthex before and after worship on Sundays leading up to the event. Stop by to sign up and let us know you’re coming. Walk-ins are welcome too—the more hands, the merrier!

DONATE FUNDS FOR NEW PLANTS AND FLOWERS

No church budget funds will be used to purchase new plants this year, so the Facilities Team would be deeply grateful for donations toward new plants to enhance our campus. Donate now.
