Serve at FPCA, in Our Community, and Beyond

Small acts. Big impact.

God calls us to serve to bless the lives of others, to find a sense of community, and to increase our capacity to love. Whether you want to give time or money inside First Presbyterian Church, on our city streets, or in another country, we have exciting ways for you to get involved from simple donations of backpack supplies or toiletries to trips to help rebuild lives.

It takes lots of volunteers. We’re always looking for more folks to do everything from painting a house to hanging out with kids to making sandwiches for the homeless. Just give a team a try. Meet new friends, grow spiritually, and maybe learn the secret of happiness through helping others.

Welcome to the Mission Menu

Whether you’re looking for a way to spend an afternoon serving with a small group of friends, bring together a mixed group of youth and adults in service, or even just a good way to spend your free time giving back individually – find what you’re looking for here!

A portion of the Mission & Outreach budget is set aside to help support these efforts. If you need help renting a van for your group, making a donation to the mission partner you’re planning to work with, or possibly even just getting commemorative t-shirts for the event, please reach out to a pastor and/or someone on the Mission & Outreach committee to request funds, and they’ll discuss that request at their next meeting (which takes place on the 3rd Tuesday of each month).

Not all of our missions take place locally – sometimes God calls us to serve in other places, which (when done mindfully, in partnership with local communities) can be a great way to learn more about how God’s love comes alive in acts of service throughout the world!
