Youth

Sunday nights are for food, fun, and fellowship with fellow middle and high school youth.  Meet in the Youth Suite Sunday nights from 5:30-7:30 pm. From movies to mission projects, Bible study to board games, this group knows how to connect at church and offline. Middle and high school groups separate for small group time. Youth in grades 6-12 are always welcome! Parents of Teens: Connect monthly at Fellowship on the First.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
— Philippians 4:6-7 (NRSV)

Wonder Hour is the new Sunday school

Wonder about how God is working in our lives by studying life stories and the Bible together, and praying with each other.  See more details and learn what other Wonder Hour classes we offer for the rest of your family.

youth group

We meet on Sunday nights for dinner, discussion, and more. It’s a special time to reconnect before the week starts up again. We discuss real-life topics and explore social issues, play Ding Dong Hockey, compete in Watermelon Olympics, play fun games, go on mission trips, energize the congregation with a “Souper Bowl of Caring” food drive to fill food pantries, have a Christmas party, and always, end with prayer together. Middle and high school students meet in separate groups.

Youth Retreats

FPCA Youth love retreats!  It is a chance to put homework and cell phones aside to connect with each other and God and deepen those relationships. We go to John Knox Ranch, Jr. High Jubilee and Sr. High Celebration at Mo Ranch, the Mid-Winter Retreat, and a Confirmation Retreat for 8th and 9th graders.

Youth and Mission

Youth are busy with mission events throughout the year such as working at the Diaper Bank, collecting for the Souper Bowl of Caring, or working at the Manos de Cristo Back-to-School event. A mission trip each summer is the highlight of the Youth calendar.
