Christmas Eve Candlelight & Carols: Christmas Eve Worship in Austin

Thursday, December 24, 2026 | 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm | Sanctuary | Livestream Available

There’s something special about Christmas Eve: the familiar words of the Christmas story, the sound of beloved carols, and the glow of candlelight as we celebrate the birth of Jesus. Join First Presbyterian Church of Austin for our Christmas Eve Candlelight & Carols services, a meaningful evening of worship filled with music, scripture, and the hope of the season.

Both services will feature readings that tell the story of Jesus’ birth, congregational singing of cherished Christmas carols, and inspiring music from our Sanctuary Choir and String Ensemble. As the evening draws to a close, we’ll share in the beauty of candlelight—a tradition that reminds us of the light and love Christ brings into the world.

What to Expect:

• Traditional Lessons and Carols worship with scripture readings and beloved Christmas hymns.
• Music from the Sanctuary Choir and String Ensemble.
• A candlelight celebration of the birth of Jesus.
• A welcoming service for all ages, with nursery care available at both services.
