At FPCA, we worship, learn, and play together! Families come in all shapes, sizes, and ages. Our church family ranges from giggling infants and toddlers all the way to the wisest among us with incredible stories to share. We love to gather together, worship in community, serve in teams, and play in small groups.
From the moment children step into worship, they’re participants, not spectators. They light candles, set the communion table, pour the baptismal water, and welcome new members into the family of faith. God put the wiggle in children, and you won’t be asked to suppress it. Come as you are.
Worship bags with quiet activities are available at the entrance to the Sanctuary, and a Calm Room is available down the hall from the Sanctuary for anyone who needs a quieter space.
After the children’s message, younger children are invited to continue in age-appropriate settings for the remainder of the service, except on first Sundays when everyone stays together as a family.
A cheerful, caring space is available from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm every Sunday. The Nursery is available for all children while their caregivers attend adult classes.
Children explore the stories of God through art and creative play, September through May.
Kids discover scripture through story and discussion on second, third, and fourth Sundays, September through May.
Maracas, bells, chimes, and voices. Children make a joyful noise at FPCA. Kids sing in worship, participate in the Christmas pageant, and learn early that songs of praise are part of a life of faith.
You’re never too young to serve. Children at FPCA stuff hygiene bags, build flood cleanup buckets, run lemonade stands to support disaster relief, and collect socks for neighbors experiencing homelessness. Mission here starts early and sticks.
Every summer, VBS fills the building with music, games, drama, and Bible stories for preschoolers through elementary-age kids. Tweens join the fun as part of the service squad, helping lead throughout the week. It’s an all-church event with decorating, storytelling, singing, and more. Past themes have taken kids camping, into space, and underwater. This year’s adventure is always just around the corner.
Some of the best moments happen when everyone shows up together.
Bring your little goblins and superheroes for an afternoon of trick-or-treating, a costume parade, and decorated trunks. Youth volunteers go all out, and everyone is welcome to join in the fun.
On the Saturday before Easter, families gather for a true eggstravaganza. Bring a basket. Hunt hundreds of eggs. Celebrate together.
Yard games, pancake breakfasts, popsicles on the playground. Throughout the year, FPCA finds reasons to play together outside.
Once a year, families head to the Texas Hill Country for a weekend of prayer, rest, and connection along the Guadalupe River. Room for all ages, all stages.
On the first Sunday of every month, stay after worship and share a meal with the whole community. A great way for young families to find their people.
"He called a little child to him, and placed the child among them... Whoever welcomes one such child in my name welcomes me." — Matthew 18:2, 5
