Godly Play: Faith, Stories, and Creative Play for Young Children

Second, Third, and Fourth Sundays | September–May | Godly Play Room

Young children are natural storytellers, question-askers, and wonderers. Godly Play at First Presbyterian Church of Austin gives children ages 3 through kindergarten a welcoming, nurturing space to discover the stories of God and Jesus through storytelling, creative play, and exploration.

From September through May, children join Godly Play after the children’s message during worship and spend the remainder of the service exploring biblical stories in an age-appropriate way. Through art, hands-on activities, and imaginative play, children are invited to respond to the stories, express their ideas, and begin discovering what faith means in their own lives.

On the first Sunday of each month, children return to worship with their families to participate in communion, celebrating their place in our intergenerational faith community.
