Light the Campus: Help Decorate for Advent and Christmas

Saturday, November 21, 2026 | 8:30–11:00 am | Church Parking Lot

Help bring the wonder of Advent and Christmas to life at First Presbyterian Church of Austin! Each year, our campus becomes a bright and welcoming part of the neighborhood during the holiday season, and we need helping hands to make it happen.

Join us for Light the Campus, a morning of decorating our campus grounds with Christmas lights so they can twinkle and sparkle throughout Advent and Christmas. It’s a practical way to prepare our church for the season, share some fellowship, and create a festive welcome for our neighbors and community.

What to bring: A step ladder and gloves.

You don’t need to be an expert decorator to help. Many hands make light work, and with enough volunteers, we can often finish much sooner than expected. Whether you can stay for the whole morning or lend a hand for a little while, your help makes a difference.

Come be part of bringing Advent to life at First Presbyterian Church of Austin as we prepare to welcome the community into a season of hope, peace, joy, and love.
