Sanctuary Open for Prayer on Election Day
Sanctuary Open for Prayer on Election Day in Austin
Tuesday, November 3, 2026 | 1:30–5:30 pm | Sanctuary
Election Day invites us to reflect not only on the choices before us, but also on the kind of nation and community we hope to build together. In a time of national stress and division, prayer can offer space to pause, reflect, and seek God’s guidance.
First Presbyterian Church of Austin will open its Sanctuary on Tuesday, November 3, from 1:30 to 5:30 pm for anyone who would like to spend time in prayer and reflection. Rev. Mike Murray will be present as a prayer companion for those who would appreciate someone to pray with them.
As Presbyterians, we have a long history of understanding the importance of shared governance and civic participation. As we exercise our right to vote and elect our leaders, we invite you to join us in praying for God’s love to guide our nation, for wisdom among those who lead, and for care and compassion across our communities.
Whether you come for a few quiet moments or a longer time of prayer, you are welcome. No registration is needed.
All are welcome. Visit the Sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church of Austin on Election Day, Tuesday, November 3, between 1:30 and 5:30 pm.
