Youth Group: Faith, Friendship, and Fun for Middle and High School Students

Middle and high school are full of big questions, new experiences, and plenty of changes. Youth Group at First Presbyterian Church of Austin is a place for students in grades 6–12 to navigate it all together through faith, friendship, honest conversations, and a lot of fun.

Youth gather every Sunday evening from 5:30 to 7:30 pm in the Youth Room for dinner, discussion, and whatever the week calls for. Middle and high school students begin the evening together before splitting into smaller groups for conversations and activities suited to their age and experiences.

The topics are real, and the conversations can go anywhere. Students have space to ask hard questions, explore faith, share their perspectives, and learn from one another without needing to have all the answers. And because youth group is about more than sitting and talking, there’s plenty of room for games, too—from Watermelon Olympics and Ding Dong Hockey to movie nights and mission projects that put faith into action. Every gathering closes with prayer together.

Whether your student has grown up in church, is curious about faith, or is simply looking for a welcoming community, there’s a place for them here. All students in grades 6–12 are welcome!
